At Carilion Clinic, we're seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our Imaging Services team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients of all ages.
  • Assess patients appropriately for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after procedures according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
  • Operate highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
  • Position patients to obtain quality images and perform IV contrast injections, urinary catheterizations, and/or other skills as required.
  • Participate in the training of students and staff as assigned.
  • May be cross-trained to perform basic laboratory phlebotomy functions and operate laboratory waived testing equipment according to CLIA regulations.
  • May also be trained to perform EKGs.

Requirements:
  • Must be a graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Experience preferred but not required.
  • AART registry and VA license required.
  • Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry required. Virginia state license required to work in an ambulatory setting. AHA BLS-HCP required.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
