At Carilion Clinic, we're seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our Imaging Services team, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and diagnostic services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of technical procedures to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis of patients of all ages.
- Assess patients appropriately for procedures ordered prior to, during, and after procedures according to Imaging Services/Departmental Guidelines.
- Operate highly specialized equipment, including radiographic, CR (Computed Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), and PACS (Picture Archive Communication System).
- Position patients to obtain quality images and perform IV contrast injections, urinary catheterizations, and/or other skills as required.
- Participate in the training of students and staff as assigned.
- May be cross-trained to perform basic laboratory phlebotomy functions and operate laboratory waived testing equipment according to CLIA regulations.
- May also be trained to perform EKGs.

Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
- Experience preferred but not required.
- AART registry and VA license required.
- Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) registry required. Virginia state license required to work in an ambulatory setting. AHA BLS-HCP required.
- Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
