Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in Fayetteville, NC. As an SLPA, you will work closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized therapy plans and interventions for students with diverse communication needs.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct speech and language services to students, working closely with licensed Speech-Language Pathologists to implement individualized therapy plans and interventions.
  • Conduct assessments and contribute to the development of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other members of the educational team to support student progress and ensure effective communication.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates to the educational team.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program or relevant field.
  • Valid SLPA license in the state of North Carolina (NC).
  • Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting is preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge of various communication disorders and therapeutic techniques, with a strong commitment to providing high-quality services to students.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced educational environment.
