About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Tech to join our team at Sovah Health - Martinsville. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for performing various imaging procedures to help diagnose and treat patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review patient history and physician's orders to ensure accurate and effective imaging procedures.
  • Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure their understanding and cooperation.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications as needed, while monitoring patient condition and reporting/responding to changes in status.
  • Prepare equipment and supplies, select appropriate exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards and quality control procedures.
  • Position patients and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, and identify issues with image quality, taking appropriate action to resolve.
  • Obtain images with portable units as needed, and observe radiology safety guidelines.
Requirements
  • Graduate or Registry Eligible Radiologic Technologist of an educational program in Radiologic Technology.
  • Registry Eligible Technologist must be registered within three (3) months of graduation.
  • Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
  • Proficient in diagnostic exams, fluoroscopy, and invasive procedures/exams.
  • Knowledge of all diagnostic radiological equipment.
  • Computer skills desired.
  • Flexibility in adapting to changing work demands and priorities.
What We Offer
  • AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
  • Registered or Registry Eligible by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Previous clinical experience in Diagnostic Radiology desired.
