Radiologic Imaging Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Cleveland Clinic. As a Radiology Technologist, you will be responsible for obtaining high-quality images of the body using x-ray equipment, preparing patients for exams, and operating equipment to minimize radiation dose.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general radiology exams, portable exams, and fluoroscopic procedures.
- Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
- Acquire, archive, transmit, and print images via PACS.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
- Maintain documentation.
- Address equipment malfunctions, notify management, and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
- Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor, and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
- Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing.
- Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.
Physical Requirements:
- Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.
Personal Protective Equipment:
- Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
