Senior Network and Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist
4 weeks ago
Leidos is currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Network and Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist to support the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program.
In this mission, we will be supporting the Department of Air Force's (DAF) to field and operate the ABMS Digital Infrastructure.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the logistics planning, analyses, and execution for all performers delivering the ABMS DI Network capability.
ABMS is a top modernization priority for the DAF and will be the backbone of a network-centric approach to battle management in partnership with all the services across the Department of Defense.
This broader effort is known as Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2). As envisioned, JADC2 will allow U.S. forces from all services — as well as allies and partners — to sense, make sense and act upon a vast array of data and information faster than adversaries can detect and respond.
The Senior Network and Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist will be responsible for preventing, detecting, evaluating, analyzing, and mitigating system performance issues to maintain access to and functionality of network hosts, data, voice, and key mission systems.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Using Service Desk tickets and NSOC monitoring tools including ServiceNow IT Operations Management, the Senior Network and Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist receives detected and verified service outages and events via trouble tickets from Tier II technicians or monitoring tools.
- The Senior Network and Cybersecurity Operations Center Specialist then responds to and conducts troubleshooting and develops responses to maintain access to, and functionality of, network hosts, data, voice, and key mission systems.
- Responsible for updating assigned trouble tickets through resolution, and if necessary, coordinating with software vendors, hardware vendors, or NSOC operations to bring trouble tickets to resolution.
- Interacts with multiple teams to include system administrators, network technicians, infrastructure technicians, application engineers, and vendors to identify and correct core problems.
- Develops and documents updates to NSOC Knowledge Management tools, scripts, policies, procedures, or automated responses to continually improve access to, performance of, and functionality of network hosts, data, voice, and key mission systems.
- Develop artifacts supporting Information Assurance and Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree and 12 – 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- May possess a Doctorate in technical domain. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- Active and current Top Secret with ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
- Experience troubleshooting RHEL and a variety of platforms, software packages and associated databases.
- Familiarity with TCP/IP ports and protocols.
- Network Security Operations Center (NSOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), or Security Operations Center (SOC) experience.
- Experience developing and optimizing commercial application performance metrics in an IT Operations Management (ITOM) platform, such as throughput, latency, performance, CPU utilization, disk utilization, memory utilization, database performance, third-part service performance, alarms, alerts, notifications, uptime, response time, throughput, load averages, lead time, and error rates.
- At least one current DoD 8140 certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related technical field.
- Experience with virtualized environments (VMware vSphere, ESXi).
- Experience working with cloud computing and infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, etc.) to IL6.
- RHEL administrator certification.
- Experience with VoIP system configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience as a member of agile programs.
Pay Range:
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
REQNUMBER:
All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or veteran status.
