Key Responsibilities- Perform Preventative Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance procedures to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and Repair Equipment: Use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues with mechanical and hydraulic components, precision machinery, and auxiliary equipment.
- Emphasize Proactive Measures: Implement proactive strategies to minimize reactive maintenance and reduce equipment downtime.
- Maintain and Repair Components: Ensure the proper functioning of systems, including bearings, gear clutches, couplings, belted and shafted drives, and gearboxes.
- Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety guidelines and effectively communicate with Press operators, crew members, and management.
- Perform Basic Welding and Mechanical Tasks: May be required to perform basic welding and mechanical tasks as needed.
- Multi-Tasking and Time Management: Ability to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment with an understanding of the urgency of equipment downtimes.
- Technical Knowledge: Basic knowledge of precision test and calibration equipment, as well as components and systems, including bearings, clutches, gears, belted and shafted drives, and pneumatic systems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to understand and follow instructions, troubleshoot effectively, and respond quickly to solve equipment malfunctions.
- Tool Ownership: Must provide own set of tools.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to safely operate both hand and power tools and work a 12-hour rotating schedule that may include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
