About the Role:

This is a flexible full-time position with a 0.8 FTE schedule, offering 64 hours of work per biweekly period. The role involves working night shifts with a great shift differential pay, providing fully benefitted employment opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, as well as related techniques, to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
  • Administer x-radiation to produce diagnostic images, providing advanced clinical expertise and staff-level leadership to the department.
  • Assist in preparing and positioning patients for procedures, providing instructions to obtain desired results and minimize anxiety.
  • Operate imaging equipment, image capture devices, and accessories to successfully perform procedures.
  • Position patients to best demonstrate anatomic areas of interest, respecting patient ability and comfort.
  • Immobilize patients as required for examinations, assuming responsibility for provision of physical and psychological needs during procedures.
  • Initiate basic life support when necessary, determining radiographic technique and exposure factors.
  • Apply principles of radiation protection to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others, processing images and reviewing for proper identification and quality control.
  • Use radiology information systems, complete required records and reports, and submit images and data for physician review and interpretation.
  • Provide practical instruction for radiography students and other partners, observing universal protocol, standard precautions, and appropriate patient identifiers.
  • Apply principles of patient safety during procedures, including assisting and transporting patients, utilizing appropriate scripting, barriers, and patient identifiers.
  • Operate mobile radiologic equipment in operating rooms, emergency rooms, or at patient bedsides, assisting radiologists in fluoroscopic and special x-ray examinations.
  • Prepare contrast media and assist in administration.

Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
  • Three years of experience as a registered radiographer required.
  • ARRT Radiography registration required.
  • IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.
  • WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.
  • Approved CPR or BLS certification.
