The Fire Sprinkler Designer will be responsible for creating detailed Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings to ensure the efficient and effective placement of fire protection systems.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret construction documents, including drawings, specifications, and contracts.
- Design and layout fire sprinkler systems using specialized CAD software packages based on the AutoCAD platform.
- Perform field checks of completed designs to verify accuracy.
- Work closely with district contracting teams to understand contracts, scheduling, and delivery needs.
- Mentor others in the proper execution of fire sprinkler design.
- Assist sales in design estimations.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1-5 years of fire sprinkler design experience.
- Working experience of AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Sprinkler Design Software, or equivalent sprinkler design software.
- Ability to solve basic math problems, including geometry and algebra.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MSOffice, Sprinkler Design Software, and a hydraulic calculation program.
- Interpret and apply applicable NFPA standards for Automatic Sprinkler System Layout.
- NICET III certification preferred.
