Position Overview:
The Assistant Professor for Preclinical Faculty is responsible for providing comprehensive educational support in the field of dentistry. This role requires a DDS/DMD degree from an accredited dental institution and a proven track record of scholarly contributions to the discipline.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with the Associate Dean for Preclinical Education and other faculty members on academic matters to enhance institutional excellence.
2. Foster a supportive and collegial environment for students, staff, and faculty.
3. Maintain an open-door policy to mentor and guide students.
4. Serve as a role model for professionalism and ethical standards.
5. Supervise and evaluate student performance during practical sessions.
6. Conduct regular meetings with students to monitor their academic progress and address any challenges.
7. Ensure accurate attendance records for students.
8. Demonstrate clinical techniques to students during hands-on training.
9. Provide instructional support in both theoretical and practical aspects of dental education.
10. Assess student professionalism and address any issues of misconduct or non-compliance with established protocols.
11. Collaborate with faculty to resolve any professional conduct concerns.
12. Assign final grades based on objective assessments of student performance.
13. Participate in faculty meetings and contribute to departmental initiatives.

Physical Requirements:
The role involves active engagement in a clinical setting, requiring the ability to circulate among students without disruption. Faculty must be capable of:
- Evaluating and providing feedback on student procedures.
- Demonstrating techniques at the dental simulation clinic.
- Communicating effectively with students during their learning process.
- Withstanding the physical demands of the clinical environment, including managing equipment and maintaining focus amidst distractions.

Qualifications:
Education: Doctorate in Dentistry (DDS/DMD) is required.
