About the Role:
- Assist pathologists in gross examination, dissection, and histologic sampling of anatomical specimens.
- Prepare biological specimens for analysis, including preparation of frozen and permanent sections for light, electron, and immunofluorescent microscopy.
- Perform postmortem examinations, including external examination, in-situ organ inspection, evisceration, dissection, and dictation of organ weights and gross anatomic findings.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a related biological sciences field required; Master's Degree preferred.
- 1-3 years related grossing experience preferred.
- PA Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) required.
Compensation and Benefits:
We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience, plus excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off. A Covid vaccination is a requirement for employment at Jefferson for employees working at Jefferson's clinical entities or at the University.
