Position Overview: Amergis Educational Staffing is collaborating with educational institutions to find a qualified Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for students on a contractual basis.

Key Details:

Location: Educational Facilities

Duration: Initial contract of 13 weeks with potential for extension

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM

Essential Qualifications:

  • Valid RN License in the state of practice
  • Experience in pediatric or school nursing is preferred
  • Proficiency in G/J tube management

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate

Responsibilities:

  • Implement and assess student care plans utilizing the nursing process
  • Deliver skilled nursing care in accordance with established orders and Individualized Health Plans (IHP)
  • Administer treatments and medications as per the IHP
  • Monitor and document the effectiveness of interventions and treatments
  • Ensure accurate documentation meets client expectations
  • Coordinate services with local health agencies and community resources
  • Communicate effectively with school personnel regarding student care
  • Report changes in student conditions to relevant parties as outlined in the IHP
  • Collaborate with educational and health professionals to address student health needs
  • Maintain student safety and adhere to healthcare standards and regulations

Minimum Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program
  • Active RN license in the relevant state
  • Preferred one year of professional nursing experience
  • Compliance with professional standards and practices
  • Willingness to engage in skill development opportunities
  • Current CPR certification
  • Understanding of patient confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
  • Strong communication skills and computer proficiency
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
