Summary: Performs cashiering duties, including general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Prepares ingredients for food preparation, including washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
- Transports food and supplies to and from workstations, storage areas and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
- Stores food in designated areas in accordance with wrapping, dating, and food safety and rotation procedures.
- Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils to maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements to prevent contamination and foodborne illness.
- Prepares and serves food to customers in a friendly and efficient manner.
- Interacts with customers to resolve complaints and provide excellent customer service.
- Performs sales transactions, including making change and accepting declining balance cards and other forms of payment.
- Issues receipts to customers and follows standard procedures for issuing cash refunds.
- Responsible for managing cash and credit transactions, including counting and reconciling cash and credit sales.
- Replenishes supplies and condiments as needed to maintain a clean and well-stocked service area.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the success of the restaurant.
