The RN Clinical Nurse is a key member of our interdisciplinary team, responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions- Perform the Nursing Process (assessment, diagnosis, identification of outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation) in the performance of clinical care, using evidence-based practice and analytical/critical thinking to ensure that care is individualized and coordinated.
- Provide relationship-based patient-centered care that is consistent with population-specific characteristics, adapting service delivery to reflect an understanding of cultural diversity.
- Partner with patients and significant others (as appropriate) using effective communication methods, such as bedside shift report, interdisciplinary rounds, and just-in-time and planned patient teaching.
- Practice using current clinical practice standards and demonstrate teamwork and collaboration by promoting a respectful, inclusive clinical environment.
- Participate in performance improvement, research, and research utilization to promote safe, quality patient care, including initiating and/or leading such activities and promoting an inter/intra-disciplinary process.
- Complete all initial and ongoing professional competency assessments, required mandatory education, and population-specific education.
- Serve as a preceptor and/or mentor for other professional nurses (and staff or students for all disciplines) to ensure that there is a current and future qualified workforce.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved school of nursing.
- Baccalaureate degree in nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing (preferred).
- Ability to read, write, and speak the English language.
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative, and customer service skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and respond to emergencies in a decisive, composed, and respectful manner.
- Possess excellent time management skills.
