Fleet Technician Job Description

PepsiCo is seeking an experienced Fleet Technician to join our team. As a Fleet Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic and repair work on a variety of vehicles, including automobiles, trucks, vans, and forklifts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues using computer-based diagnostics and manual testing
  • Perform preventative maintenance on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to complete tasks and meet deadlines
  • Collaborate with other team members to resolve complex issues and improve processes
  • Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs
Requirements:
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Permit or Class A CDL
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working with heavy vehicles and equipment
  • Knowledge of diesel engines and hydraulic systems
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and activities
  • ASE or manufacturer certifications
