Job Summary:
The Charge Registered Nurse is a key member of the Mercy healthcare team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leadership in the Adult Psychiatric Unit. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for patients with mental health conditions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans
- Lead a team of nurses and provide guidance and support to ensure high-quality patient care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and services
- Monitor patient outcomes and make adjustments to care plans as needed
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Relevant certifications (BLS, ACLS, PALS, etc.)
