Job Description

As a Senior Software Engineer in Index Technology, you will be responsible for assisting with building complex financial market indices in a SQL heavy environment. You will collaborate with business partners to analyze new requirements and translate those requirements into technical solutions.

You will be working on developing applications and processes designed to automate future builds, using non-SQL technologies such as C# and Angular. This is a role focused on transforming the way we currently support the business, so you will bring new technology recommendations to the table.

Requirements

  • Strong SQL development skills - able to parse complex stored procedures and write your own
  • Strong data analysis skills - ability to parse large data sets for anomalies
  • Proven eye for detail and quality
  • Diverse programming background - experience that goes beyond SQL. C# and Angular are a plus
  • Experience as either a front-end or back-end developer, or both
  • Understanding of SDLC processes, including deployment pipelines
  • Understanding of cloud technologies is a plus (we use AWS and Azure)
  • Desire to learn
  • Excellent communication skills

Additional Information

The position is expected to be based in the Fort Mill office, with a minimum of two to three days per week in the office.
