Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Power Group in Boston, MA. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and delivering electrical systems for heavy industrial projects, including power generation facilities, utility grid interconnections, and switchgear and substations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver electrical systems for heavy industrial projects, including power generation facilities, utility grid interconnections, and switchgear and substations.
  • Lead technical teams and deliver design solutions for various clients.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of project schedules, status, and technical issues.
  • Review designs issued prior to client submission with supervisor and Department Head.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of all associated Codes and Standards and ensure compliance in all Team activities.
  • Continuously improve the Team's deliverable quality, communications, attitude, and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Exceptional knowledge of IEEE, IBC, NESC, and NEC electrical codes and industry products and design solutions.
  • Able to perform arc-flash, short circuit, grounding, relay settings, time current curves, drop calculations, voltage drop calculations, lighting power density using SKM, ETAP, CYME, and AGI lighting software.
  • Strong analytical ability and proven leadership experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in related field of power generation and heavy industrial projects, with at least 7 years' experience with medium voltage (5kV/15kV) and low voltage (480v) design of industrial and process plants.
  • PE highly preferred; LEED preferred.
