We are seeking an Audiologist to join our team at Leesville, LA. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for administering and interpreting various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment. You will also evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents to determine the likely cause of the hearing loss and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus.
Responsibilities:- Administer and interpret various tests to determine the type and degree of hearing impairment
- Evaluate test results in relation to behavioral, social, educational, and medical record reviews of past audiograms and documents
- Determine the likely cause of the hearing loss and to state the prognosis and address the issues of hearing loss and tinnitus
- Operate computerized programs and utilize application software and databases in order to enter, modify, and access information into/from electronic medical records
- Maintain patient confidentiality with written and verbal information per HIPAA
- Conduct otoscopic examinations, cerumen management, and calibration checks of audiometric equipment
- Lead paraprofessional staff training for Audiology specific skills and certifications as required by all LOB
- Completion of Veterans Benefits Administration Disability Benefit Questionnaires (DBQs)
- Doctorate Degree in Audiology (Au. D) from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of clinic practice experience
- Professional experience directly related or desire to work with Compensation and Pension Examination, and experience with hearing conservation programs/and or noise conservation programs preferred but not required
- Currently licensed Audiologist in state employed and license shall be unrestricted
- American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and/or American Academy of Audiology (AAA) certification prior to hire
