Job Title: Housekeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeper to join our team at Hyatt Place King of Prussia. As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and maintain all public areas, storage areas, and administrative areas.
  • Clean rooms on request and run supplies and service items to guestrooms as needed.
  • Dust, vacuum, and maintain all public areas, hallways, restaurants, bars, rest areas, and other assigned spaces.
  • Polish metalwork and furniture.
  • Collect soiled linens for laundering and receive and store linen supplies in appropriate locations.
  • Vacuum floors and clean restrooms.
  • Remove trash and dispose of it properly.
  • Perform office cleaning and refurnish areas with supplies as required.
  • Clean outside areas, including the porte cochere and other arrival areas.
  • Attend monthly department meetings and complete projects as determined by the Executive Housekeeper.
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
  • Understanding of simple instructions.
  • Ability to read and execute banquet event orders.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all kinds of weather.
  • Ability to learn simple procedures and techniques.
  • Ability to perform routine work or the same task over and over again.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Demands:

Lifting 50 lbs. maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs. Requires climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, seeing, feeling.

Environmental Conditions:

Inside: Protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. A job is considered "inside" if the worker spends approximately 75% or more of the time inside.

Math Skills:

Requires mathematical development sufficient to be able to add and subtract.

Language Skills:

Must have developed language skills to the point to be able to read at least at a minimum level.

Specific Vocational Preparation:

Specific vocational training includes an occupationally significant combination of: vocational education, apprentice training, in-plant training, on-the-job training, or essential experience in less responsible jobs which lead to the higher job or serving in other jobs. Anything beyond short demonstration, up to and including 30 days.
