Job Summary:
Chesapeake Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Traveling Registered Nurse to join our team in the Stepdown Unit. As a Traveling Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care to patients in the Stepdown Unit, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Perform various medical procedures, such as inserting IV lines and administering medications.
- Document patient information and progress in the medical record.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure in the state of practice.
- 1 year of experience in a Stepdown Unit or similar setting.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
- Neurological Life Support (NIHSS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Travel experience in a Stepdown Unit or similar setting.
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMRs) and other healthcare technology.
- Certification in a specialty area, such as critical care or pediatrics.
