Job Summary:

Rogers Group is seeking a highly skilled Plant Operator and Maintenance Specialist to join our team at our asphalt operation in South Carolina. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our aggregates plant facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor the aggregates plant facility, ensuring optimal production levels and quality control.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and repairs, including lubrication, tightening of fittings, and replacement of bearings and gaskets.
  • Conduct daily inspections and perform necessary repairs and maintenance on plant equipment, including crushers, conveyors, screens, and other machinery.
  • Participate in plant improvement projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with management to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA, MSHA, and environmental regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • Previous maintenance experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to diagnose and repair plant equipment.
  • Experience with welding and cutting is a plus.
  • Working knowledge of asphalt plant utilities and equipment, including crushers, conveyors, scales, and other machinery.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
