Nursing Faculty

The College of Southern Maryland is seeking a qualified Nursing Faculty member to join our team in the area of Leadership and Management. This full-time tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on student success and contribute to the college's mission.

The College of Southern Maryland is a two-year public institution located in southern Maryland, just 45 minutes from the Nation's Capital. We offer over 100 degree programs and are committed to student success, innovation, and community engagement.

• Teach 30 credits of courses per contract year in the Nursing discipline, including leadership and management courses.
• Design assignments that incorporate students' program of study and connect to the Nursing discipline.
• Engage students in their learning through active and collaborative learning approaches.
• Meet with students outside of class to assist them with being successful college students.
• Incorporate culturally relevant pedagogies into the teaching and learning process.
• Demonstrate ability to communicate orally and in writing, read and interpret information, deliver instruction to diverse student populations, and use student engagement strategies that support completion and student success goals.

• Masters Degree in Nursing required.
• Registered nurse (RN) in Maryland, or ability to obtain Maryland RN license required.
• Two years full-time teaching experience or four years teaching as adjunct faculty member at the college level preferred.
• Related professional experience of five (5) years clinical practice in leadership and management in nursing preferred.

The College of Southern Maryland offers an excellent compensation package, including a salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, based on education and experience.
