Bluetooth Architect

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Bluetooth Architect to join our growing Internet of Things (IoT) practice group at The AES Group, a premier technology consulting company that has been bringing businesses and talent together for over 20 years to deliver innovative technology solutions that create a positive impact on society.

• Architect and develop Bluetooth connectivity solutions for various applications and devices, including mobile technologies, IoT devices, and wearables such as smart glasses and smart watches.
• Address and resolve issues related to scalability, reliability, and security in Bluetooth implementations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Bluetooth technology into new and existing products.
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure the reliability and performance of Bluetooth connections.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in Bluetooth technology and industry standards.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other team members and stakeholders.
• Document and maintain technical specifications and design documentation.
• Optimize Bluetooth performance and power consumption to enhance user experiences.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Extensive experience in Bluetooth technology, including Bluetooth Classic, BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy), Bluetooth Mesh, and Audio over Bluetooth.
• Proven track record in architecting and developing wireless connectivity solutions.
• Strong understanding of scalability, reliability, and security issues in Bluetooth implementations.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C, C++, or Python.
• Experience with Bluetooth stack and protocol layers, including HCI (Host Controller Interface), L2CAP (Logical Link Control and Adaptation Protocol), ATT (Attribute Protocol), and GATT (Generic Attribute Profile).
• Knowledge of wireless communication protocols and standards, including Wi-Fi, Zigbee, and NFC.
• Experience with Bluetooth certification processes.
• Familiarity with IoT and embedded systems.
• Knowledge of RF (Radio Frequency) design and testing.
• Experience with firmware development and debugging tools.
• Experience with wearables and emerging technologies like smart glasses and smart watches.
• Knowledge of mobile operating systems (iOS, Android) and their Bluetooth APIs (Core Bluetooth for iOS, Bluetooth API for Android).
