Neurology Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our Neurology team at Northwell Health. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in the specialty area.
Key Responsibilities- Perform initial patient histories and conduct physical examinations.
- Initiate, document, and communicate the plan of care, ensuring complete screening and preparation of patients.
- Conduct daily patient rounds and write orders for medications, laboratory work, and diagnostic tests.
- Interpret laboratory and test results, and confer with attending physicians, residents, and nursing staff to ensure optimum quality of patient care.
- Document discharge summaries, prescriptions, and referrals on patient charts, and inform patients of post-discharge care instructions.
- Master's Degree in a Nurse Practitioner Program and National Board Certification in the specialty area.
- Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in New York State, and current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.
- Collaborative practice agreement with designated protocols filed with NYS Department of Education, or collaborative relationship attestation as per the Nurse Practitioner Modernization Act 2015.
- Current BLS certification.
The salary range for this position is $100,000-$180,000/year. Northwell Health is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applications from diverse candidates.
