About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at United Memorial Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the success of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the surgical team in preparing and maintaining a sterile environment for surgical procedures.
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
- Provide support to medical and nursing students during their training.
- Participate in unit development and goal setting to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Completed a military surgical technology program or equivalent.
- Graduated from a Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) accredited program with a Surgical Technology major.
- Holds and maintains Certified Surgical Technologist certification from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).
- Ability to maintain at least 15 hours of Continuing Medical Education (CME) per year.
