About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at Costco Wholesale. As a key member of our IT organization, you will play a critical role in shaping the technical direction of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop IT architecture and design solutions based on business requirements, industry trends, and technology options.
  • Partner with enterprise architects, domain architects, and engineering teams to ensure solution architecture is aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with delivery teams to plan, deliver, and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Ensure implemented solutions are consistent with approved architecture and meet quality standards.
  • Communicate and mentor teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of professional IT experience, with 7+ years of hands-on architecture experience.
  • Broad COTS package integration experience and knowledge of IT application architecture and design methodologies.
  • Strong leadership skills in designing and building cloud applications using cloud technologies, database query languages, and web programming languages.
  • Proficient in modeling languages, including BPMN, DMN, UML, and experience with multiple SDLC methods.
  • Ability to make architecture changes in a dynamic agile environment and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Solution Architecture Professional Certification (e.g., IASA CITA-F, CITA-A or higher).
  • Proficient in service-oriented architecture (SOA), micro-service-architecture (MSA), messaging, object-oriented programming concepts, multi-tiered distributed component-based technology, relational and non-relational databases, infrastructure-as-a-service capabilities, legacy infrastructure platforms and technologies, and enterprise service bus.
  • Domain knowledge of the Retail industry desired.
