About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Reno Orthopedic Center. As a key member of our radiology department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate high-field strength magnets and related equipment to produce radiographic images of patients' specific body parts.
  • Screen patients for MR safety, explain the MRI process, and address patient concerns prior to performing scanning.
  • Position patients for MR scans using immobilization and protective equipment to comply with government regulations and ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Evaluate MR scans for technical quality, collate processed images, and sequence of exposure, and label appropriately.
  • Document imaging performed, appropriate charges, and other necessary information in patients' electronic medical records and Patient Archive Communication System (PACS).
  • Maintain quality control measures in accordance with American College of Radiology guidelines.
  • Follow quality assurance guidelines, including positioning, markers, demographics, and coning, to ensure optimal images before releasing images to physicians.
  • Prepare radiology department daily, including cleaning, stocking, and sanitizing work areas and equipment.
Requirements
  • MRI Technologist Certification through American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
  • Knowledge of MRI and radiology safety procedures and protocols.
  • HIPAA and OSHA regulations/procedures.
  • Experience using computer systems and applications, including radiology software.
  • Effective communication skills with patients, physicians, and other medical staff.
Work Schedule

The schedule for this position may include nights and weekends (Saturday), with the specific schedule determined by the manager's discretion.

Travel

This position may require travel to other clinic locations based on business need.
