About the Role

Velocity Rail Solutions is seeking a skilled CDL Class A Truck Driver to join our team as a Regional Floater - Locomotive Fueling and Servicing Specialist. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for fueling and servicing trains on an on-call basis, working closely with our dedicated trucks and drivers to ensure seamless service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fuel and service trains on an on-call basis, working with our dedicated trucks and drivers to ensure efficient service delivery.
  • Operate a variety of equipment, including fuel trucks, water trucks, and sand trucks, to fuel and service trains.
  • Work independently and with minimal supervision, using your expertise and judgment to resolve issues and complete tasks.
  • Collaborate with our operations team to ensure seamless service delivery and meet customer expectations.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and company procedures.
Requirements
  • Must have a Class A CDL with hazardous materials and tanker endorsements.
  • Must be able to clear all background checks required by the company, customer, and government.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand English.
  • Must be reliable and dependable, with a strong work ethic and ability to work independently.
  • Must have moderate computer skills and be able to use our company's software systems.
  • Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays, and be willing to rotate shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Able to consistently bend, stoop, kneel, and climb on and off elevated surfaces.
  • May have to walk long distances on paved or unmaintained or uneven surfaces.
  • Able to climb in and out of a truck cab multiple times per shift, and climb a ladder or steps 10 or more times per day.
  • Able to drive and work outside in adverse weather conditions.
  • Willing to work with liquid non-hazardous and dry bulk materials.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs frequently.
