Senior Vice President of Logistics

Job Overview

The Senior Vice President of Logistics is tasked with the management and enhancement of distribution and warehousing operations across various locations nationwide. This role is pivotal in formulating and executing strategies that drive team performance in sales and profitability, optimize distribution processes, ensure timely product delivery, and foster exceptional customer satisfaction while building strong relationships with partners.



Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the logistics team and its operations.
  • Manage financial resources and monitor key performance indicators on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with essential stakeholders.
  • Evaluate and report on logistics performance metrics.
  • Guide and mentor Territory Managers to enhance communication and operational awareness.
  • Collaborate with the executive leadership to set ambitious yet attainable efficiency goals.
  • Supervise all logistics activities, including receiving, storage, and fulfillment, to ensure excellence across all sectors.
  • Identify, implement, and refine processes to boost productivity while minimizing operational expenses.
  • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations governing logistics operations.
  • Contribute to the development and/or execution of internal systems and business processes.
  • Travel to various facilities as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in leading logistics teams.
  • Ability to remain decisive and composed under pressure.
  • Proven talent for fostering loyalty, collaboration, and communication across departments.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership position.
