Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Manufacturing Operations team at QC Conveyors, a leading provider of conveyor systems. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for maintaining the production schedule in the assigned section in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily direction and leadership to the product line's team members
  • Flex between owning the assigned area and assisting other areas of the production floor
  • Understand and adhere to QC Conveyors/Duravant Company handbook and section policies and procedures
  • Perform activities utilizing all machinery and equipment in the assigned section
  • Promote continuous improvement within the department and the organization
  • Examine items produced to determine if items meet specifications
  • Follow documented manufacturing/assembly processes using the operation's procedures
  • Recommend measures to improve section production methods and overall effectiveness of product line
  • Coordinate with Production Supervisor on the daily/weekly/monthly provided schedule to meet delivery demands
  • Monitor the quality, quantity, and efficiency of products produced by team members
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with the team members and focus on producing excellent products safely and on time
  • Work with each team member in the area to provide them opportunity to be cross-trained and to meet other training opportunities
  • Ensure that goals are met and sustained daily/weekly/monthly
  • Observe safety and security procedures; Use equipment and materials properly; Report potentially unsafe conditions
Requirements
  • Stand, walk, or be mobile for up to a 10-12-hour shift
  • Ascend, squat, push and pull up to 75 lbs.
  • Bend, twist and reach with hands and arms to feel objects, tools or controls, check and inspect product
