Job Summary

Soliant Education is seeking a qualified School Psychologist to provide comprehensive psychological services to elementary school students in the South Hill, NY area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough psychoeducational evaluations to assess the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral needs of students in the elementary grades.
  • Collaborate with general education and special education teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals to develop and implement effective interventions and support plans that promote student success.
  • Provide individual and small group counseling services to address a range of student needs, including learning disabilities, social-emotional challenges, behavioral concerns, and academic motivation.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of school-wide initiatives to promote positive school climate, social-emotional learning (SEL), and mental health awareness for elementary students.
  • Consult with teachers and staff on strategies to support students with diverse learning needs in the classroom setting.
  • Analyze data, monitor student progress, and report on the effectiveness of interventions to inform ongoing support plans.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in school psychology.
Requirements
  • New York State License as a School Psychologist.
  • Prior experience working with students in an elementary school setting is highly preferred.
  • Strong assessment skills with a variety of psychoeducational tests and measures.
  • Expertise in evidence-based interventions and strategies to support academic achievement, social-emotional learning, and positive behavior in elementary school students.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with students, parents, teachers, and administrators.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, reporting, and record keeping.
  • A commitment to equity and inclusion in the school environment.
  • A passion for helping elementary school students overcome challenges and achieve success in both academic and social-emotional domains.
