We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Junior Interior Designer to join our team at The Inside View Interior Design in downtown Haverhill. As a Junior Designer, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced designers in all aspects of the design process, from initial concept to final installation.

About the Job

This is a full-time position working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, which is estimated to be around $55,000-$65,000 per year, based on industry standards and location.

Responsibilities

The Junior Interior Designer will assist our designers in the following areas:

  • Documenting existing conditions, field measurements, and redlines
  • Taking existing drawings and inputting them into Revit
  • Developing a basic understanding of codes and standards affecting design
  • Assembling SD, DD, and CD sets
  • Coordinating finish schedules and distribution plans
  • Oversight of design discussions regarding elevations, plans, and sections at the schematic level
  • Researching trends and assisting with data collection
  • Selecting design components and finishes under senior staff guidance
  • Conducting research on FF&E
  • Aiding in design, compiling data, performing area take-offs, preparing plans/renderings/models/graphic/design presentations under senior staff guidance
Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • Bachelor of Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
  • 1-3+ years of experience (or internship experience) in the Interior Design industry
  • High proficiency in Revit, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office
  • Detail-oriented and organized
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in Adobe and Microsoft Suites
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for interior design and ability to take initiative
