Job Title: Fabricator



Job Summary:



We are seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our team at Larry Methvin Installation Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating glass, mirrors, aluminum, and wood products to meet the highest quality standards.



Key Responsibilities:




  2. Loading and Unloading: Safely load and unload products from stationary and rolling racks, tables, delivery trucks, and/or wood crates.
  3. Work Order Retrieval: Retrieve production work orders and follow specifications to ensure accuracy.
  4. Tool and Machine Maintenance: Inspect conditions of tools and machines for proper working conditions prior to use.
  5. Product Fabrication: Cut and flat polish glass and mirror products, cut, drill, and fabricate aluminum products, and cut, drill, and fabricate wood products.
  6. Quality Control: Utilize a tape measure to ensure product is within specifications.
  7. Material Handling: Transport materials from one position/location to another in a safe manner.
  8. Inventory Management: Inspect condition of incoming stock materials, properly placing them in correct locations.
  9. Documentation: Accurately maintain and complete all applicable paperwork.
  10. Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain cleanliness and neatness of warehouse, tools, and machines at all times, and adhere to and enforce safety policies and regulations.
  11. Quality Assurance: Understand quality control specifications and maintain throughout fabrication process.
  12. Additional Duties: Perform other duties as requested.

Requirements:




  • 1 year work experience in a manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma/GED required.
  • Ability to read and understand safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors and other employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Physical Requirements:



While performing the essential functions of this position, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use close vision; use distance vision; use hands to handle and balance objects; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, kneel, or crawl. The employee is frequently required to lift or move up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
