We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse to join our team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our critical care team, you will provide exceptional patient care to post-cardiac surgery, valve repair, and telemetry patients.
Responsibilities- Administer medications utilizing the 5 rights to medication administration
- Provide patient education and discharge planning in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Initiate and document patient teaching and discharge planning
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 60 days of employment start date
