Academic Chemistry Professor

Broward College places great importance on helping students achieve academic success. We are seeking a passionate educator and practitioner to join our team as an Adjunct Instructor, Chemistry. This is a part-time position that offers the opportunity to teach in a fully online format.

The salary for this position is $1,986 - $2,266.02 per hour. As an adjunct instructor, you will have the opportunity to earn additional income by teaching multiple sections or semesters. Additionally, Broward College offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching chemistry courses to a diverse group of students. To qualify, you must have a Master's degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry, or a related field, and prior college teaching experience. A Ph.D. is preferred but not required. You should also have a high level of computer literacy and be committed to teaching. If selected, you will be expected to teach in a variety of formats, including online and on-campus classes.

• Mastery of chemistry subject matter and ability to communicate complex concepts effectively
• Prior college teaching experience and ability to adapt to different learning styles
• Strong technology skills and ability to use educational software and platforms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work with diverse student populations
