Housekeeping Attendant Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Attendant to join our team at Americas Best Value Inn. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and comfortable environment for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean and sanitize guestrooms mid-stay and after departure, ensuring all surfaces are properly cleaned and disinfected.
  • Make beds with fresh linens and pillows, and replace dirty linens and towels with clean ones.
  • Restock guestroom amenities, such as toiletries and drinking glasses.
  • Remove garbage, recycling, and room service trays from guest rooms and hallways.
  • Pick up and return laundry items to the laundry room.
  • Organize and stock housekeeping carts with all necessary cleaning supplies.
  • Notify the maintenance department about broken appliances, old light bulbs, or any damage to the room.
  • Uphold the hotel's confidentiality and security standards by not disclosing any guest information.
  • Dust and polish various surfaces and furniture in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Vacuum, sweep, and mop floors in guest rooms and public areas.
  • Empty trash bins and replace trash liners as needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous housekeeping experience is advantageous.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must be physically able to perform the duties of the job, including standing, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be punctual and reliable.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
