Company Overview:

William Charles Construction, a renowned MasTec Company, seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee traffic and transportation projects. This role demands strong analytical skills, project management expertise, and a deep understanding of construction operations.

About the Role:

This is a salaried position with a competitive compensation package, estimated at $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. The successful candidate will have 5+ years of industry experience, overseeing multiple projects simultaneously, and possess a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial monitoring and reporting, including cost projections, change order logs, and invoicing review and approval
  • Safety program execution, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations
  • Maintaining project documentation, including submittals, RFI's, meeting minutes, and work plans
  • Coordinating with project superintendents to identify equipment types, personnel skill sets, means, methods, and schedules
  • Managing and updating receiving and yield reports, as well as cost accounting and schedule impacts
  • Pre-construction planning with project teams and procurement of necessary permits or licenses
  • Reviewing and procuring subcontractor scopes and schedules
  • Project closeout, including final documentation, invoicing, and retainage release
  • Building relationships with local stakeholders and interacting with project teams, business leaders, and management

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in the construction industry, with a focus on traffic electrical infrastructure projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in project management tools and software
  • Familiarity with CPM scheduling and job cost accounting
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to read and understand contracts
