ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Contribute to the assurance that Lockheed Martin's offerings can be manufactured and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

Become part of a team of engineers dedicated to researching and analyzing hardware and software obsolescence, directly supporting various programs across the organization.

This role focuses on identifying and evaluating Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) components and software utilized in both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEM) products and Lockheed Martin initiatives.

With guidance from senior personnel, the successful candidate will analyze technical and obsolescence data, reporting potential impacts to both internal and external stakeholders.

The selected individual will provide design recommendations to engineering teams regarding preferred parts, materials, and suppliers to mitigate the effects of obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).

The ideal candidate will review new designs and drawings, suggesting specific suppliers and technologies for COTS electrical and mechanical part selections based on factors such as cost, obsolescence forecasts, reliability, quality, and availability.

The selected candidate will lead and facilitate working group meetings to monitor status and action items related to obsolescence; measure and track internal metrics to ensure adherence to processes and resolutions.

Additionally, the candidate will spearhead DMSMS programs, ensuring that daily activities for these initiatives are effectively managed.

Essential Qualifications:
Self-motivated, capable of thriving in a deadline-oriented environment and completing tasks efficiently.
Familiarity with commercial computer systems, equipment, software, technologies, system analysis, and design.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a capacity for independent research and experience as a contributing member of a team.

Minimum of two years of experience in Obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) or related fields.
Demonstrated leadership experience.
Ability to present findings and outcomes to engineering and program teams and engage in discussions with larger audiences.
Proficiency in Excel.

Preferred Skills:
Experience in the design and development of hardware and software.
Knowledge of and experience with the Consolidated DMSMS Analysis Tools Suite (CDATS).
Experience in drafting Basis of Estimates (BOEs).
Familiarity with Radar Architecture.
Understanding of Engineering Processes (PR/ECN/CCB).
Working knowledge of SAP, COS, P2P, SiliconExpert, IHS, EPDM, and Parts Visibility.
Experience in Department of Defense Logistics.

Security Clearance Requirement:
This position necessitates a government security clearance; candidates must be U.S. Citizens for consideration.

Work Schedules:

These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office, in addition to our Paid Time Off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour days, with 3 days off per week.
