Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Deputy Clerk to join our team at the Virginia Department of Human Resource Management. As a Deputy Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our office, preparing court documents, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed court documents in accordance with established guidelines and policies
  • Enter data into our automated case management system
  • Scan documents and schedule matters for court
  • Prepare correspondence and file court documents
  • Assist customers at the counter and answer phones
  • Access fines and costs and receipt payments
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent and considerable experience in a court or office setting. You should be highly organized, possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be able to multitask and assume additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
