Position Overview:
We are currently seeking skilled Aircraft Interior Installers to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced and evolving work environment. The successful candidates will play a crucial role in shaping the future of military aircraft, business jets, and space systems.
The Aircraft Interior Installer will be responsible for the fabrication and installation of various components that contribute to the overall quality and functionality of aircraft interiors, utilizing advanced construction techniques while adhering to established procedures and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute assigned tasks within designated man-hour budgets and timelines while upholding stringent quality standards and compliance with safety and regulatory protocols.
- Fabricate, assemble, and install interior products, including window panels, headliners, decorative elements, and access panels.
- Install main cabin cabinetry, such as galleys, crew closets, entertainment units, window shades, side ledges, tables, and lavatory cabinets.
- Conduct installations of final assemblies, including sinks and various aircraft systems.
- Perform functional checks on installed systems to ensure operational integrity.
- Adjust and test mechanical assemblies, including drawers, magazine racks, doors, and tables.
- Install and fit carpeting throughout the aircraft interior.
- Set up and operate standard shop equipment efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of labor performed within our Manufacturing Execution System.
- Complete all tasks with a focus on quality, adhering to allocated budgets and schedules.
- Assist colleagues as necessary to promote teamwork and efficiency.
- Comply with company policies, including safety, training, and quality standards.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and keep work areas organized and presentable.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience in basic carpentry or a related field.
- Ability to interpret sketches or 3D models effectively.
- Proficient in reading and following written instructions, including installation and testing procedures.
- Skilled in using drills, sanders, and other common hand tools.
- Physical capability to install various components with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Willingness to work in various positions, including standing, bending, and climbing as required.
