We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cafeteria Monitor to join our team at the Town of Greenwich, CT. As a Cafeteria Monitor, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the cafeteria during lunchtime.

• Manage student behavior in the cafeteria, ensuring a positive and respectful atmosphere for all students.
• Supervise students in the lunch line, assist with food selection, and monitor traffic flow to maintain a smooth and efficient process.
• Enforce health and safety standards in the cafeteria, including maintaining sanitary conditions and disposing of garbage properly.
• Assist with the sale of milk and snacks in the cafeteria, as needed.
• Restock condiments and napkins, as required.
• Attend staff meetings and in-service training sessions, as scheduled.
• Perform related work as assigned by management.

• Ability to read and understand English.
• No prior experience is required, but a positive attitude and strong communication skills are essential.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

The Cafeteria Monitor will work in a fast-paced environment, interacting with students, staff, and the general public. The position requires standing and walking for extended periods, as well as lifting and carrying light objects. The Cafeteria Monitor must be able to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic and sometimes challenging setting.
