Job OverviewIndustrial Transfer & Storage, Inc is seeking a skilled Fabrication Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with CAD-based software, structural and architectural drawings, and welding standards. Key responsibilities include preparing plans and materials, reading and interpreting drawings, and coordinating with other trades and suppliers. The successful candidate will have a strong background in AutoCAD, Solid Works, and BOM software, as well as experience working with structural steel and negotiating pricing and change orders. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare plans and materials according to project specifications and product requirements.
  • Read and interpret structural and architectural drawings.
  • Coordinate with other trades, suppliers, and sub-contractors.
  • Negotiate pricing and change orders with vendors, general contractors, and owners.
  • Work with accounting on job cost estimates and other financial matters.
  • Develop and maintain client relationships.
  • Travel to job sites.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with AutoCAD or Solid Works.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent oral and written skills.
  • Experience in structural and miscellaneous metals.
  • Experience and familiarity with detailing software.
  • Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Goal-oriented, detailed, enthusiastic, and self-motivated.
  • Team player with a positive attitude and ability to work independently.
