Kleinfelder Inc is seeking a highly skilled Special Inspector to join our team. As a Special Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct routine to complex inspections and testing of construction materials in the field to verify conformance to construction plans and specifications.
- Prepare daily reports and data sheets to document inspection results.
- Collaborate with project teams to identify and address any issues or concerns.
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of construction plans, specifications, and codes.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Special Inspector or in a related field.
- ICC reinforced concrete and masonry certifications.
- ACI Concrete Field Testing Technician - Grade I certification.
- AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification.
- Desired certifications: ICC certifications, City of San Diego certifications, Caltrans certifications, IFC certification, Nuclear gauge training and soils testing experience.
- Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised or as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Ability to use a computer and have a general knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to learn and grow with technological demands.
- Excellent compensation and benefits package.
