At Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services, we foster a challenging yet rewarding environment for our team members.

We are currently seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a part-time basis, working weekends from 11pm to 7am.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the direction of nursing services for the unit, in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* Delegate tasks to professional nurses and non-professional nursing personnel, monitoring their work performance under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
* Observe patients for symptoms and reactions, including their general physical and mental condition, for signs of adverse change.
* Assist with notifying the attending physician of emergencies and patient deaths, implementing changes in orders as instructed or ordered by physicians.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

* High school graduate.
* Licensed Practical Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing.
* Current, valid license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing, with proof of license renewal every other year.
* Willingness to work as a charge nurse and work as needed during emergencies to ensure adequate coverage.
* Ability to provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctors' orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
* CPR certification yearly.
* Attendance at in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
