Key Responsibilities- Support Student Learning: Assist students in small group exercises, reinforce instruction, and co-teach lesson components as assigned by the teacher.
- Supervise and Monitor Students: Provide academic, emotional, and physical support as necessary, ensuring students' safety and well-being.
- Prepare Instructional Materials: Assist with preparation of materials for instruction, including copying, duplicating, and constructing display boards, learning centers, and manipulatives.
- Clerical Tasks: Perform necessary clerical tasks as required, including data entry, filing, and record-keeping.
- Communication and Collaboration: Participate in lesson planning sessions, communicate with parents and school officials, and maintain confidentiality of student and staff information.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service on a daily basis, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor.
- Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or state-approved High School Equivalency (HSE).
- Integrity and Confidentiality: Demonstrate exceptional integrity, commitment to confidentiality, and strong professional reputation.
- Professional Standards: Ability to abide by the Georgia Professional Standards Code of Ethics for Educators.
- Attendance and Reliability: Must be regularly, predictably, and reliably at work, with the ability to be present at the physical worksite.
- Physical Demands: Must perform tasks involving prolonged periods of standing, walking, and sitting, with the ability to lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Supervision and Emergency Response: Must be able to properly and consistently supervise students, particularly during emergency situations.
- Communication Skills: Vision, hearing, written, and verbal communications are essential factors in performing required tasks.
