Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Neighborhood Charter Schools, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our students.

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality speech and language therapy services. As a key member of our educational community, you will be working closely with teachers, leaders, and parents to ensure that our students receive the support they need to succeed.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing speech and language therapy programs for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). This will include addressing areas such as receptive and expressive language, articulation, fluency, and social-pragmatic skills.

  • Developing and implementing individualized therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each student;
  • Providing classroom strategies and interventions to support students with risk factors;
  • Maintaining accurate records of student progress and reporting results to parents and guardians;
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop and implement school-wide initiatives;

In addition to your clinical expertise, we are looking for someone who is passionate about professional growth and development. You will have opportunities to participate in ongoing learning opportunities, provide feedback to colleagues, and share your knowledge through workshops and presentations.

Requirements
  • A Master's Degree in Speech and Language Pathology or Communicative Disorders;
  • Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Certified Speech-Language Pathologist (CF);
  • Experience working with students with social-cognitive learning challenges;
  • Bilingualism is an asset, but not required;
  • Familiarity with Michelle Garcia Winner's Social Thinking Curriculum is preferred;
  • Superior communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
