About the Role
Benchmark Senior Living is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at New Pond Village. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing repairs, implementing regular and preventive maintenance programs, and communicating with the Maintenance Director on the condition of buildings and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe handling and disposal of biohazardous waste.
- Maintain a clean and organized laundry room, storing chemicals according to product instructions.
- Follow established standards and practices for chemical use.
- Demonstrate exceptional mechanical skills and work effectively within our work-order system.
- Perform general maintenance tasks, including light electrical, painting, and carpentry work.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to be familiar with emergency procedures related to chemical misuse, demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and techniques, and use chemicals and equipment properly.
