Your Responsibilities...
- Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine vessels, engines, and associated equipment to uphold safety and operational standards.
- Identify and resolve mechanical issues in engines, propulsion systems, hydraulics, and other marine apparatus.
- Employ welding, machining, and fabrication techniques to repair or create parts as necessary.
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Keep meticulous records of maintenance and repair activities.
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, particularly with related equipment.
- Ability to meet ACBL's physical examination standards.
- High school diploma or GED is essential.
- Possession of a valid TWIC and driver's license is mandatory.
- Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned location.
- Reliable transportation for daily commutes.
- Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
- Commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
- Experience in troubleshooting and repairing towboats.
