Your Responsibilities...
  • Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on marine vessels, engines, and associated equipment to uphold safety and operational standards.
  • Identify and resolve mechanical issues in engines, propulsion systems, hydraulics, and other marine apparatus.
  • Employ welding, machining, and fabrication techniques to repair or create parts as necessary.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Keep meticulous records of maintenance and repair activities.
Qualifications...

Required:
  • Minimum of 5 years of mechanical maintenance experience, particularly with related equipment.
  • Ability to meet ACBL's physical examination standards.
  • High school diploma or GED is essential.
  • Possession of a valid TWIC and driver's license is mandatory.
  • Reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned location.
  • Reliable transportation for daily commutes.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental regulations.
Preferred:
  • Experience in troubleshooting and repairing towboats.
