About Us:

The Electronics Division within the Purchasing Department is tasked with the solicitation, negotiation, awarding, and documentation of purchase orders, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and governmental regulations.



Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the procurement authority, managing complex and high-value orders, conducting intricate price evaluations, identifying qualified suppliers, and operating under tight deadlines while complying with institutional and governmental guidelines.
  • As a seasoned buyer, facilitate regular discussions with internal stakeholders to ascertain procurement requirements and engage in frequent consultations with strategic suppliers, collaborating with various departments.
  • Effectively communicate with vendors and internal teams to collect and review Statements of Work (SOW) or Technical Specifications.
  • Ensure proper terms are communicated and negotiate conditions in accordance with established guidelines.
  • Continuously seek and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency.


Daily and Monthly Tasks:
  • Utilize the procurement system to create Purchase Orders, expedite deliveries, resolve order discrepancies, and perform other procurement-related activities.
  • Issue requests for proposals as needed; conduct supplier sourcing as required.
  • Manage large-scale complex orders and provide support for all buyers within the team.
  • Comply with organizational business and operational standards.
  • Mentor junior buyers and assist them with their procurement challenges.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to establish priorities, set expectations, and provide guidance on policies and procedures while addressing their inquiries and concerns.


Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business or a related field, with an MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of demonstrated experience in administering, negotiating, and awarding Government Contracts/Orders, with a solid understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARs).
  • 6+ years of proven excellence in written and verbal communication. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership capacity.
  • A valid and clear driver’s license is required.

Must be a U.S. person (i.e., U.S. citizen, non-U.S. citizen national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to compliance with ITAR regulations.
