Job Summary

As a key member of our infection control team, you will be responsible for implementing and maintaining effective infection control practices to ensure a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Infection Control Policies: Create and maintain comprehensive infection control policies and procedures to prevent the spread of infections.
  • Conduct Surveillance and Monitoring: Conduct regular surveillance and monitoring of infection control practices to identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide Education and Training: Provide education and training to staff on infection control practices and procedures.
  • Collaborate with Healthcare Teams: Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure effective infection control practices are implemented.
  • Maintain Accurate Records: Maintain accurate records of infection control activities, including surveillance and monitoring data.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in a Healthcare professional field or three (3) years' experience in Infection Prevention with current Kentucky Healthcare Licensure.
  • Experience: Minimal 2 - 4 years experience in infection prevention and control.
  • Certification: Certification in Infection Control preferred.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with guaranteed hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 to 16:30. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure effective infection control practices are implemented.
